Robin Heath - Going Nowhere? Doing Nothing? DVD

An independent researcher and presenter since 1984, Robin Heath is possibly the only full-time archaeoastronomer left in the UK. Specialising in megalithic astronomy, geometry and metrology, Robin has published nine books, two in as many languages, in addition to two co-authored titles with John Michell and Paul Broadhurst. He lives in the Preseli region of West Wales, and is both editor and contributor to the website www.skyandlandscape.com.

Our Relationship with Megalithic Monuments
Archaeoastronomy has become a neglected subject, effectively abandoned by the academy. However, seen through the eyes of a Neolithic astronomer/observer, a simple awareness of how sky and landscape interact reveals astonishing patterns and important messages about our relationship with the cosmos. Megalithic monuments then become our teachers, intermediaries between Heaven and Earth. Even after 6000 years they remain able to deliver a powerful experience that changes our perception of reality, art, symbolism, science, and our views concerning how modern society has arrived where it has, at the crossroads of 2011. Our prehistoric legacy is shown to contain great riches and some surprising connections with the modern world.
